With FinesTuning\u00ae, SICON has developed a flexible system capable of reliably separating over 99.5% of the recoverable non-ferrous metals from the fine fractions. The multi-stage magnetic separator system is one of the first of its kind to enable a maximum metal recovery rate. It consists of two magnetic drums, each with individually adjustable magnetic field strength. In the first step, the Fe fraction is completely separated. The slightly magnetic residue and the fine fractions are then separated in a second drum without losing the stainless steel from the magnetic residues.<\/p><p>Tests have shown that SICON FinesTuning\u00ae leads to higher recovery rates and is therefore also recommended as a replacement for existing, less efficient systems. The new FinesTuning\u00ae is available in widths of 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 mm and offers various functions and options such as adjustable drum speeds, Belt-Run-Empty technology, a belt exchange system, and many more. SICON implements FinesTuning for shredder residues &lt;20 mm in new plants as well as a retrofit for integration into existing plants with throughputs of up to 30
