Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States („Google“). As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, advertisers do not obtain any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out of this by easily disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie by changing your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this Website.

Integration of YouTube videos

We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offer, which are stored on https://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have called up the corresponding sub-page of our website. In addition, the data listed in the passage “Description of data processing on the website/app and legal basis for processing” are transmitted. This takes place regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account via which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Newsletter privacy policy on the use and application of MailChimp.

You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this, we need your e-mail address, first and last name and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. Once you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your subscription. The newsletter mailings contain a link that allows you to update your personal data. The newsletter is sent using “MailChimp”, a newsletter sending platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in the context of this notice, are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, MailChimp may use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the dispatch and display of the newsletters or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass the data on to third parties. We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of MailChimp. MailChimp has a certification according to the “EU-US Privacy Shield”. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”. The “Privacy Shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA, which is intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA. MailChimp thus undertakes to comply with the EU data protection requirements. In accordance with the “Data Processing Addendum” (https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/), MailChimp undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its data protection provisions and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. You can view MailChimp’s privacy policy here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by pressing “unsubscribe newsletter” at the end of the newsletter. Furthermore, you can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation. With the help of MailChimp, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with MailChimp, a file contained in the email (so-called web-beacon) connects to MailChimp’s servers in the USA. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked. In addition, technical information is recorded (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information is used for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.
