A pioneer in metal recycling for decades
In the context of metal recycling, CleanTec refers to the use of environmentally friendly and efficient technologies and processes to recycle metals in a more sustainable manner. The primary focus is on reducing emissions, energy consumption, and environmental impact while maximizing the recovery of valuable raw materials.
SICON has also been a pioneer for decades in a field now known as “DeepClean.” This refers to processes that go beyond simple separation, ensuring deeper cleaning stages and higher degrees of purity. Special process modules are used to minimize impurities, non-metals, etc., thereby generating pure metal fractions for effective recycling.
With approximately 8 billion people on our planet, recycling is one of the central and most important challenges of our time, and SICON is dedicated solely to this mission. Each of our plants and machines plays a significant role in recycling more materials and reducing the burden on our planet.
Our goals in metal recycling and its industrial environment:
- Strengthen the circular economy / Replace primary raw materials
- Minimize environmental impact / Increase resource efficiency
- Comply with legal environmental requirements (e.g., EU Green Deal, ESG criteria)
Our business areas:
- Ferrous: Scrap processing (e.g. EcoShred® Compact: Combined pre- and main shredder, EcoShred® Vertec: Vertical shredder, ScrapTuning®: Ferrous Downstream Upgrade, HMS Cleaning, EcoScan® Online: Online analysis etc.)
- Non Ferrous: ASR- and metal recycling (e.g. ASR Advanced: Shredder residues processing, FinesTuning®: Recovery of small metal parts, Cable processing: Recovery of copper, WetFloat®: Density-based metal separation, etc.)
We rely on lean structures and fast decision-making processes. SICON's customers have a partner by their side who is not just a supplier but one that develops tailor-made solutions that are both economically and ecologically effective.
Technical Research Center (TRC) – Since 2017, SICON has been operating its own research center in Hilchenbach, where new plants and systems are tested and optimized.
This allows the company to test its own metal fractions – as well as customer materials, of course – improve processes, and implement innovations.
