The SICON HDS Conveyors are robustly constructed and suitable for feeding shredders of any size. They are also used for conveying material from scrap shears or cleaning systems (HMS Cleaning Advanced), as well as for in-plant transport of sheared scrap within steel mills. The HDS Series is also employed for the continuous charging of electric arc furnaces. Each conveyor system is individually planned to ensure it meets local requirements precisely.
Feed and incline lengths are custom-designed and implemented for each application. Energy-efficient, frequency-controlled geared motors, specially tailored to the specific use case, power the system—eliminating the need for the hydraulic drives still commonly found in traditional shredder systems.
With the HDS Conveyor Series, SICON provides shredder manufacturers, as well as shredder and shear operators, with a compelling alternative. Its modular design allows for quick assembly—either by the customer or a dedicated SICON installation team!
